Xavier to host grad expo on June 30

Expo will provide potential graduate students with information and resources | June 9, 2004

On Wednesday, June 30, Xavier will host Graduate Expo 2004 at the Schiff Family Conference Center located at the Cintas Center. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., potential graduate students will have the opportunity to learn more about the University’s graduate programs and talk to faculty and staff members.

“There are three reasons graduate students choose Xavier,” said John Cooper, director of graduate services. “They are academic reputation, personal attention from faculty and staff, and quality of classroom instruction.”

Information for the following graduate degree and/or certificate programs will be made available:

–Master of Arts in English, humanities, theology, community counseling, or school counseling

–Master of Arts in psychology (I/O and general experiential)

–Master of Business Administration (evening, weekend, and executive programs also available)

–Master of Education with traditional teacher concentrations in: administration, Montessori, secondary, special education, elementary education, reading education, and multicultural literature for children

–Master of Education in human resource development

–Master of Education in sports administration

–Master of Health Services Administration including dual degree option with MBA

–Master of Science in criminal justice

–Master of Science in nursing (concentrations in administration, forensics, school nursing), as well as dual degree options with MBA and MED. RN to MSN program also available.

–Doctorate in psychology (clinical psychology)

–Occupational therapy

–Initial teacher license (as part of master’s degree) in early childhood, middle childhood, secondary, and special education.
