The men's basketball team won its fourth straight game over the weekend, beating the University of Massachusetts, 64-44. Freshman Justin Cage and senior Anthony Myles scored 12 points each. The team's senior starters—Myles, Lionel Chalmers and Romain Sato—pooled together to score 26 of Xavier’s 33 second-half points. Sato also led all rebounders with 11.

The Musketeers, who are 14-9 overall and 5-5 in the Atlantic 10, return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at La Salle. Tip off is at 7:00 p.m.

The women's basketball team, meanwhile, struggled over the weekend, dropping a pair of games, a heartbreaker to George Washington University, 66-64, on a 30-foot, running three-point shot with 1.3 seconds left on Friday night, and its worst defeat of the season, a 72-45 loss at the University of Richmond on Sunday.

The team is now 15-10 overall on the season and 7-7 in the A-10. It plays again Thursday at La Salle.

Also this weekend, the women's tennis team remains undefeated at 8-0 after beating Indiana State University, 5-2.

The men's tennis team lost to nationally ranked Michigan State University, 6-1. Freshman Matt Zollman, who was named A-10 rookie of the week on Monday, posted Xavier's lone victory against the Spartans.

And, finally, the rifle team scored more than 6,200 points in its National Collegiate Athletic Association qualifying match.
