Heroes of Professional Ethics speaker highlights week on campus

The Enron whistle-blower who was one of Time magazine's 2002 Persons of the Year, Sherron Watkins, is speaking on "Moral Leadership in Business" for the first Heroes of Professional Ethics series presented by the University's center for business ethics and social responsibility. The lecture is Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. in the Cintas Center. Watkins is the former vice president of Enron Corp. who warned former CEO Ken Lay that the company "might implode in a wave of accounting scandals." Immediately following the lecture is a question-and-answer period. A continental breakfast is being provided. On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the volleyball team welcomes the University of Dayton to the Cintas Center at 7:00 p.m. for an A-10 conference match. The team is aiming to continue it’s current three-game winning streak into its final three games of the regular season, all of which are against A-10 conference rivals.

Wednesday night, the women’s basketball team hosts its second and final exhibition game, playing the Reebok Lady Stars at 7:30 p.m. The women’s Musketeers won their first exhibition game last weekend 75-50, with senior Aida Sarajlija leading the team with 15 points.

The Xavier Players is performing Cabaret on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center theater. Young American writer Cliff Bradshaw arrives in Berlin looking for a room and the sights of the city. But he finds much more when he meets the Kit Kat Klub's star attraction, Sally Bowles.
