Dr. Jin teaches operations and supply chain management courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, and does research in operations/supply chain management, sustainability and experiential learning pedagogies.
Dr. Jin has conducted operations/supply chain management projects with various organizations and has received several professional designations such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), and CCEP (Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional), among others. Besides his work in operations/supply chain management, Dr. Jin was also a certified attorney at law. He practiced criminal law first and then business law as a corporate lawyer for several years, and handled numerous business, legal or compliance cases.
At Xavier, Dr. Jin has received several awards/grants in teaching, research, and service, such as O’Conor Research Fellowship, Faculty Development Research Leave Award (2015), Cintas Business Ethics Institute Faculty Fellowship, Downing Research Scholarship, Wheeler Award, Xavier University and Williams College of Business summer research fellowships, and several Cintas grants and teaching grants. He has received a WCB Dean Recognition Award - “Award for Receiving the Most Awards in 2017”. He has been selected for faculty membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society for collegiate schools of business, in recognition of his service in the education of business disciplines.
