Dr. John Ray is an Associate Professor of Political Science and director of Xavier University's International Studies program.   He received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 1988, his MA from the University of Chicago in 1981, and his BA from Claremont McKenna College in 1979. 

Ray is director of the Political Thought minor and co-editor of French Studies: Literature, Culture and Politics (Honoré Champion, 2014).  In addition, Ray serves as the coordinator of the Washington Center Internship program for the Department of Political Science.
