Celebrating 50 Years of Women at Xavier

The fall of 2019 marks 50 years since Xavier's undergraduate day program opened to women, breaking a 138-year, men-only tradition.  We are excited to celebrate this milestone at this year's Alumni Weekend through special events designed to honor and share the experiences of the pioneering women who helped blaze the trail for today's women of Xavier.

Events scheduled for the weekend to celebrate this are:

• Alumni Pre-game Celebration - Friday, Nov. 8, 5:30 PM
• Men's Basketball Game with Halftime Recognition for Women on Campus from 1969-1979 - Friday, Nov. 8, 7:00 PM
• During halftime, all women who were on campus from 1969-1979 will be invited to be recognized on the court. To participate, please gather in the Kohlhepp Family Auxiliary Gym on the lower level of the west side (Hall of Fame side) of the Cintas Center when there is 8 minutes left in the first half.
• Ignatian Prayer and Reflection, led by Jane Myers, Kathleen Blank Riether, and Karen Brandstetter - Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10:00 AM - Noon
• Celebration of 50 Years of Women at Xavier - Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM
• Xavier Alumni Parties at Dana Gardens and Listermann Brewing Co. - Saturday, Nov. 9 from
  2:00 - 5:00 PM
