Prosser, West, Clary inducted into athletic Hall of Fame
Three Xavier greats—tennis standout Lauren Clary, basketball great David West and coaching legend Skip Prosser—were inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in December. Prosser, who died in 2007, was introduced by the man who gave him his college coaching start, Pete Gillen. The event was captured in a photo gallery.

Xavier receiving national diversity award for campus event
Xavier is receiving an outstanding diversity achievement campus program award from the National Association for Campus Activities for its "You Are Welcome At Xavier" Day of Solidarity event held. The event recognized youth suicides related to bullying and the need for a proactive stance for LGBTQ individuals. Xavier officials will accept the award at a convention in St. Louis in February.

Impact website generates emotion, comments
In December, Xavier created a website devoted to some of the people who have made an impact on the University and students over the years. More than 4,500 people visited the site and offered more than 120 comments, including some on:
Al Bischoff, S.J. "Fr. B is the best! His door was always open for conversation and advice—and he was excellent at both. He puts up with a lot of shenanigans and forgives all college "saints" and their mistakes. I visited him recently and he is the same wonderful man with a true, contagious zest for life. Stay young Fr. B. You rock!"
James Hoff, S.J. "I remember I had knee surgery in my freshman year and had to sit out the basketball season. Father Hoff had knee surgery during the same time. We went thru rehab together in the sports center. Then we'd go upstairs in Schmidt and shoot free throws. He was the best free throw shooter I know."
Dottie Engle "Dr. Engle was an amazing professor. I still rely on her advice on how to study and break down difficult material. She was a class act then and will always be one of my favorite professors, right up there with Professor Fiorelli and Dr. Walker."
All of the comments can be read at the Impact website.

Athletics offering fans new photo, video contest
The Department of Athletics is offering fans the chance to win a $250 prize package as part of a new "Be the X Factor" contest. In order to win, fans must submit a video explaining why they are the X factor. Or, fans can submit a photo and be entered to win a $50 gift card. Other fans vote on the winners. All of the winners are then entered into a grand prize contest for a VIP Game Experience. Check out the submission from the Chicago alumni chapter as an example.
Dee Dee Jernigan talks about missed layups, life
Dee Dee Jernigan, a memeber of the women's basketball team who missed two layups at the end of the game against Stanford in last year's NCAA Tournament that would have sealed Xavier's chance to be in the Final Four, spoke with Bloomberg.com's Scott Soshnick about the event and how it's impacted her life.
Alumni, friends can receive discounts at Radisson
