Theology professor adopts two Haitian orphans
Assistant professor of theology Chris Pramuk and his wife, Lauri, were able to expedite the adoption process for two Haitian children and bring them to the United States following the earthquake that devastated Haiti in January. Rabbi Abie Ingber, director of the Office of Interfaith Community Engagement, and Rep. The homecoming was covered extensively in the Cincinnati Enquirer and on television stations WLWT and WCPO.
Demolition of houses making way for more construction
The bulldozers are coming. The last remaining houses along Ledgewood Drive and Herald Avenue that weren't demolished to make way for the Learning Commons and Williams College of Business building are being torn down this month to make way for the construction of the recently approved 525-student residence hall and dining complex. The houses include the Loyola House, Dorothy Day House, the Bellarmine Parish Center and the offices of residence life, mission and identity, and student publications. All of the offices have been relocated elsewhere on campus.
