Crime Stoppers, 2002 - 2003

August 24, 2002 -- An unknown person drove through the gate in the Victory Family Park damaging the gate and lock.

August 25, 2002 -- A student reported that his bike was taken from the Buenger hall bike rack. The bike is a blue Trek 6500.

August 25, 2002 -- An unknown person did damage to a tree in the green space near Husman hall.

August 29, 2002 -- An unknown person damaged the landscaping in front of Brockman hall.

September 2, 2002 -- A student reported money was taken from her purse in Husman Hall.

September 4, 2002 -- The Art Department reported that a VCR was taken from a storage closet.

September 4, 2002 -- A student reported a theft of a calculator from the CBA building.

September 8, 2002 -- An unknown person placed graffiti on several objects in the north lot and in several doors in Kuhlman hall.

September 14, 2002 -- An unknown person damaged the canopy in the sports center used by the ticket office during events.

September 16, 2002 -- A student reported that her vehicle was entered and the CD case form her car was missing. The vehicle was parked in the Cohen Lot.

September 16, 2002 -- A student reported his calculator was stolen from the Library.

September 20, 2002 -- Physical Plant reported that the face plate for a thermostat on the 4th floor of Husman was missing.

September 22, 2002 -- An unknown person tampered with a vending machine in Brockman Hall causing minor damage.

September 25, 2002 -- An unknown person set fire to the ashtray in front of Brockman Hall.

September 29, 2002 -- A student reported his bike was stolen from the bike rack in Husman Lot. The bike is a Maroon Roadmaster Mountain bike.

October 2, 2002 -- Students from 991 Dana reported that an unknown person(s) entered their house and damaged the furniture. If you have any information contact the Cincinnati Police at 352-3576.

October 4, 2002 -- Norwood police are investigating a Homicide in the 1900 block of Cleneay Ave. If you have any information contact Norwood Police at 458-4520.

October 5, 2002 -- An unknown person took a white Xavier chair from the floor of the CINTAS center.

October 5, 2002 -- An unknown person damaged a car in the North lot. The suspect placed food items on the vehicle.

October 7, 2002 -- An unknown person damage the weight cage in the fieldhouse.

October 7, 2002 -- A student reported being robbed in the F&W parking lots. CPD is investigating the crime also. Anyone with information contact Xavier Police or Cincinnati Police at 352-3576.

October 11, 2002 -- The Occupational Therapy department reported that a digital camera was taken from their office.

October 11, 2002 -- A SSC employee reported that she was struck by a door in Alter hall after interrupting a theft attempt. The suspect is described as a white male with a jean jacket and a Xavier ball cap.

October 11, 2002 -- A Sodexo Employee reported that his knives were stolen from the kitchen area of CINTAS center.

October 12, 2002 -- An unknown person punched a hole in the wall in the entrance Brockman Hall.

October 14, 2002 -- Two students reported that their cars were stuck by paintballs in the Commons lot.

October 14, 2002 -- An OSC member reported that her parking permit and her membership card were taken from her vehicle in the Sports Center.

October 17, 2002 -- A student reported that his bike was stolen from the bike rack at Hailstones hall. The bike is a red SCHWIN mountain bike.

October 18, 2002 -- A student reported that his book bag was stolen from the Neiporte lounge area of CBA.

October 20, 2002 -- A resident of 1019 Dana Ave. reported his car was broken into in the garage and his stereo was taken.

October 21,2002 -- Xavier Police, Cincinnati Police and the Postal Inspectors are investigating a theft from the Post Office in Linder hall between October 19th and October 21st. If you have any information contact Xavier Police or the Postal Inspectors at 513-684-8051.

October 21, 2002 -- An unknown person attempted to break into room 3 in Albers Hall. It appeared that the door was pried open.

October 24, 2002 -- A resident of the Village reported that her car was broken into and stereo stolen between October 23rd and 24th.

October 29, 2002 -- a resident of Husman hall reported that several pieces of jewelry and a camera were taken from her room on the fourth floor of Husman.

October 31, 2002 -- A student reported that all four tire on her vehicle were punctured in the Village lot.

November 1, 2002 -- An unknown person damaged a window in the ground floor rest room in Brockman Hall.

November 5, 2002 -- A student reported that money and his all card were taken from his wallet.

November 6, 2002 -- A student reported her laptop bag missing form the Armory lot.

November 10, 2002 -- Cincinnati and Xavier Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Victory parkway near Dana avenue. The victim was assaulted and the suspects attempted to take his cellular telephone. If you have any information contact the Xavier Police or the Cincinnati Police at 352-3576.

November 25,2002 --Between Friday November 22 and Sunday November 24, 2002, a violin was taken from the third floor of Brockman Hall. The violin belongs to a freshman music major and is desperately needed back for a recital. If you find the violin turn it into the Campus Police Department and no questions will be asked. December 3, 2002 -- A student reported that his cell phone was lost/stolen near the Gallagher Center.

December 4, 2002 -- An unknown person broke the emergency exit sign on the first floor of the Commons apartments.

December 6, 2002 -- An unknown person threw a rock down the newly poured concrete stairs on University Drive. Several steps were damaged.

December 7, 2002 -- An unknown person set off firecrackers on the 4th floor of the Commons apartments. Several other reports of damage to the 4th floor on also on file.

December 7, 2002 -- An unknown person(s) did damage to multiple areas in Kuhlman Hall and discharged a fire extinguisher in the building.

December 8, 2002 --Two Xavier students were robbed on Fred Shuttlesworth by 2 Male Blacks in their 50s. Cincinnati police are investigating the crime. If you have any information please call Cincinnati police at 352-3576.

December 15, 2002 -- A person reported that her purse was taken from the Parish House. Cash and several credit cards were taken.

December 16, 2002 -- An unknown person took the Sodexo golf cart from behind the Gallagher center. The golf cart was recovered in the Sports Center lot with damage to the front tire.

December 18, 2002 -- An unknown person damaged shrubs outside of Brockman hall.

January 1, 2003 -- A student reported that someone broke out the rear cozy window of his vehicle while it was parked at the commons.

January 3, 2003 -- An unknown person(s) wrote graffiti on the shuttle stop sign at the village.

January 11, 2003 -- Someone discharged two fire extinguishers and pulled the fire alarm at the Commons apartments.

January 13, 2003 -- A student reported the theft of a double bass from Edgecliff hall.

January 19, 2003 -- The boxing club reported that a stereo and a drill was stolen from the Armory boxing area.

January 13, 2003 -- A student reported his book bag was stolen from in front of Brockman hall.

January 24, 2003 -- A student was assaulted in the Norwood Plaza parking lot. Suspect is described as a M/W/28-30, 5'8", 180 lbs. If you have any information about this contact Norwood Police of Xavier Police.

January 25, 2003 -- A student reported that she was robbed on East Mitchell Ave. A purse was taken. If you have any information about this contact Cincinnati Police or Xavier Police.

January 31, 2003 -- A student reported that a silver ring was taken from the dinning hall.

February 3, 2003 -- Someone took a DVD player from room B-12 in Alter hall.

February 3, 2002 -- A student reported that he was robbed in the 900 block of Dana at approximately 9:50 pm. If you have any information about this case contact Cincinnati Police of Xavier Police.

February 16 - 17, 2003 -- A subject entered Logan and Linder Hall over the weekend and took two projectors for the ceiling of the classrooms. The suspect is described as a M/B/ 30-35 thin build, 5'10" - 6' tall. He is well dressed and has short hair. If you have any information about this theft contact the Xavier Campus Police.

February 26, 2003 -- Two students reported computer equipment and cash was taken from their book bags while they were in the library.

March 1, 2003 -- XU Physical Plant reported that someone damaged a Japanese Maple Tree in front of Brockman Hall.

March 4, 2003 -- XU Physical Plant reported that someone broke out a window from an apartment in the Village.

March 9, 2003 -- An unknown person(s) damaged the first floor south restroom in Brockman Hall. Shower curtains and doors were torn down.

March 11, 2003 -- An unknown person damaged the boxing ring in the Armory.

March 14, 2003 -- An employee reported that 3 textbooks were taken from her office in the Gallagher center.

March 17, 2003 -- A student reported that his laptop and cell phone was taken from his room in Brockman hall.

March 18, 2003 -- An unknown person damage a window on the ground floor of Brockman hall.

March 19, 2003 -- An student reported that a subject removed several checks from her bag in Hinkle hall. The subject is described as a Male Black, light skinned wearing a light brown sweater.

March 30, 2003 -- An unknown person activated the fire alarm in Kuhlman Hall. The subject pulled a pull stated and caused the building to be evacuated.

April 4,2003 -- A student reported that his bike was stolen from the Dorothy Day house between April 4 and April 6. The bike was locked to the fence.

April 6, 2003 -- A student reported that his bike was stolen from behind the Commons apartment complex between April 6 and April 10. The bike was locked to the bike rack.

April 13, 2003 -- A unknown person(s) pulled a fire pull station in Buenger hall causing the building to be evacuated.

April 13, 2003 -- A subject reported the attempted theft of his bike from the sports center. He witnessed two suspects try to remove his bike from the rack.

April 14, 2003 -- Unknown person(s) tore down pictures from Alter Hall near Kelly Auditorium.

April 14, 2003 -- A tree was damaged behind the Commons Apartments.

April 21, 2003 -- A suspect stole a radio from the Gallagher Center information desk area. The suspect is a black male, 20's.

April 30, 2003 -- An employee reported cash removed from her purse from a office on the 3rd floor of Schmidt hall.

May 1, 2003 -- A Sodexo employee reported that someone broke into the cooler in the club room in Cintas and removed several bottles of wine.

May 2, 2003 -- An unknown person damaged the plants on the east side of the Commons Apartments.

May 5, 2003 -- A Sodexo employee reported that an unknown person tried to gain access into the Cintas Center cash room through the door vent. Nothing was taken from the area.

May 8, 2003 -- The reserved signs from the Commons lot were reported missing.

May 16-18, 2003 -- The Campus Police took several theft reports from Hailstones hall offices. Money and other items were taken.

May 20-22, 2003 -- The Campus Police took two theft reports from Albers and Alter hall of vending machines broken into in the female restrooms. Money was taken from the machines.

May 28, 2003 -- Unknown person(s) wrote several sayings on the walls and computer equipment in a classroom in the fieldhouse.

May 30, 2003 -- A computer projector was taken from the ceiling of CBA room 9.
