Xavier Women's MBA Association
The Xavier Women's MBA Association aims to inspire, empower and unite women by providing a forum for support, professional development and camaraderie. The association provides professional networking and educational events to further enhance the professional development of women in our MBA program. Women of Excellence
The Women of Excellence Council for Women was formed in 2007 to honor, extend and advance the legacy of Xavier and Edgecliff. The Council is a committee of the President's Advisory Council and, as such, works with the President, President's Advisory Council and University administration to advance the role of women as organizational and philanthropic leaders at the University. University Committee on the Status of Women
The purpose of the UCOSW is to:
*assure that equal consideration be given to women and men in all phases of the University operations;
*create an environment that is equally supportive of the achievements of both women and men;
*ensure full participation and encouragement of the contribution of women in pursuing the overall mission and goals of the University.

LEAD: Ladies with Emphasis on Achievement and Distinction (Student Club, Office of Multicultural Affairs)
Founded in 2005 by six Xavier female undergraduates, L.E.A.D. is an organization that seeks to foster relationships among women that transcends racial, international, physical and social barriers to help individuals develop and maintain constructive relationships. Health Services Administration Women's Resource Group
Newly launched, this event is held 3-4 times per year and unites alums from HSA for a meal and professional speaker. The first two events have been very successful. Contact: Ida Schick.
Vice Provost for Diversity Office
The Vice Provost for Diversity provides university-wide leadership to support the development and success of institutional diversity initiatives that advance the broader objectives of Xavier University's Catholic, Jesuit mission and its long-range strategic plan. Supported by the Diversity and Equity Committee, the Vice Provost serves as a resource to all members of the campus community seeking to implement strategic plans that advance institutional diversity goals. Grants to jumpstart the development of strategic diversity initiatives are available to faculty and staff through the Institutional Diversity and Equity Advancement (IDEA) fund. In addition, the Office houses a number of educational resources for exploring the research foundations of and best practices for diversity in higher education, which can be accessed by appointment. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Rho Xi Chapter, Office of Multicultural Affairs)
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University who wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to persons in need. As a public service and community oriented organization, Delta Sigma Theta is committed to effectively and passionately meeting the needs of the African American community. The Ladies of the Rho Xi Chapter at Xavier University are committed to improving the quality of life on campus and in its surrounding community, while embracing the transitions needed to meet the challenges of the world after graduation. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. (Pi Upsilon Chapter, Office of Multicultural Affairs)
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded at Butler University on November 12, 1922 by seven school teachers. Sigma Gamma Rho has the distinction of being the only NPHC sorority to be founded on a predominantly white campus. What started as a support group for students of color developed into a network of women promoting sisterhood, scholarship and service today. Sigma Gamma Rho's aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public deeds, leadership and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities. Xavier Colony has continued the legacy of "Greater Service, Greater Progress" since its establishment at Xavier University in April 2000. The Ladies of Xavier Colony are committed to providing awareness on issues that affect our community educationally, civically, and economically, while achieving academic excellence and personal development through community service.
