The Xavier Launch-a-Business Competition - also known as X-LAB - is giving entrepreneurship a boost and, with it, the Greater Cincinnati economy.
The annual competition, founded in 2010 by the Williams College of Business, identifies the most determined, creative entrepreneurs with the most promising ideas. Then, the College supports the winners, whether the winners are starting businesses, nonprofits or social enterprises.
What makes X-LAB different from other economic development programs is that X-LAB draws on the business expertise of its 65 professors, 500 executive mentors and 1,000 MBA students to guide the entrepreneurs.
