Other Information: J. Richard Hirté is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, the American, Ohio and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 1993, Dr. Hirté was appointed by Governor George Voinovich to the Ohio Higher Educational Facilities Commission and served for an eight-year term. He previously served Xavier as the Senior Vice President for Financial Administration where his responsibilities included the financial management of the university, construction planning, facilities management, auxiliary services, crisis management and business continuity, risk management and campus police. He currently serves on St. Xavier High School's Board of Trustees. Dr. Hirté earned a BSBA, MBA, and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He and his wife, Pamela, have three sons, Brian, John and Kyle. Prior to joining Xavier in 1983 he was University Budget Officer and Associate Academic Vice President at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville where he had major responsibilities for capital budgeting, construction planning, and Board of Regents' liaison
