Areas of Expertise: Other Information: Dr. Krishnan has taught at Xavier since 1993. She conducts research in the areas of mergers/acquisitions, top management teams and corporate restructuring. She has published over 30 articles in the top journals of business such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Business Horizons, Management International Review, Business and Society, Academy Best Papers Proceedings, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management and Journal of Small Business Strategy among others. She has won numerous awards for her research including the O'Conor Chair, O'Conor Fellowship, and the Dean's award for excellence in research. Also, her 2007 paper on acquisition premiums and workforce reductions published in the Journal of Management Studies was judged as one of the top 50 publications from over 15,000 publications in the premier journals of business. Dr. Krishnan teaches International Management, Strategic Management, Strategic Leadership, and Global Strategic Thinking at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels. Also, she was the President of the Xavier Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma during 2003-08. She has several years of business experience and was the first woman in India to be appointed to a Sales position in the petroleum industry. Dr. Krishnan, her husband Babu, and son Naveen reside in Montgomery.
