CareerBeam is a full service career development portal designed to provide all the resources necessary to guide individuals through a strategic job search. Users can create a personalized career plan and conduct a results-oriented career search in an easy-to-use, interactive solution that delivers the most powerful and innovative career tools available.

WetFeet is an online career resource library whose mission is to equip job seekers with advice, research, and inspiration needed to plan and achieve a successful career.  This resource provides Employer Profiles, Career Advice videos and articles, Industry and Career Track Profiles and access to the online WetFeet magazine.  Additionally, WetFeet offers over 65 downloadable Career Insider Guides allowing you to learn more about hot career topics, employers and industries!  This information is presented in an easy-to-read format that you will find informative and entertaining! Note: Downloadable Guides are available to current Xavier students only with the use of your active Xavier email address.

CareerLeader-College

CareerLeader-College is the premier business school self-assessment tool, created by directors of Harvard Business School’s career center, and used by top business schools throughout the country.

CareerLeader-College helps to identify your business-related abilities, strengths, motivations, and interests via a series of quick and simple tests, resulting in a wide array of data that can help give you ideas on business career paths you might like.

All freshmen business majors are required to take this assessment. Upperclassmen in business can also take this assessment.

Career Shift

CareerShift provides an easy-to-use, approach for cracking the "hidden job market" and for managing your job hunt all in one place. You'll be able to search for jobs and save your searches, find and save a list of contacts, create resumes and cover letters, and put them together in a targeted e-mail or postal mail campaigns.

Going Global

Going Global is a provider of both country-specific and USA city-specific career and employment information. This resource provides expert advice for those looking for jobs in the United States or abroad, featuring insider tips and professional advice on topics such as employment trends, salary ranges, job search resources, networking groups, resume/CV writing guidelines and work permit/visa regulations. In addition, Going Global provides users with access to local and international job openings and internship opportunities and valuable H1B employer information.

LinkedIn is a professional social networking site allowing you to connect with professionals in your field of interest, potential employers, Xavier faculty members, recruiters, Xavier alumni, fellow WCB students and more. LinkedIn has proven to be an excellent resource to students seeking to learn more about career fields and to add individuals to their career and job search networks.

The Williams College of Business Professional Development Center can request access to outside universities and colleges' career resources and services on your behalf.
