Academic Advising

The Williams College of Business provides academic advising assistance to students. The WCB undergraduate office is staffed by professional academic, faculty and career advisors. We serve undecided and declared business majors and minors—as well as prospective students, new transfers, international students, and individuals inquiring about our academic, study abroad and career programs.

The goals of the advising office are consistent with our Jesuit mission—to educate the entire person. As advisors we strive to help students:

  • Create a coherent academic plan based on a student’s abilities, aspirations, interests and values
  • Select appropriate courses, majors, minors and co-curricular programs
  • Identify and find solutions for those in academic difficulty
  • Be aware of campus and community resources and opportunities
  • Understand university policies, procedures and students' responsibility for meeting academic program requirements
  • Develop life and career goals
  • Improve decision-making skills and enhance their emotional intelligence
  • Cultivate habits that lead to a lifetime of learning
  • Engage as citizens in their community and the world around them
