Application Process

This process applies to domestic applicants only. International applicants, please visit our International Admissions page.

Step 1

Choose the program that is right for you. If you haven’t done so yet, please take a few minutes to explore our programs and take our Prospective Student Quiz.

Step 2

Complete an online application here.

Step 3

Applicants to the Executive MBA, please click here.
Applicants to the Off-site MBA in Deerfield, Northern Kentucky or West Chester, please click here.
All others, please continue to step 4.

Step 4

The remaining documents can be sent to Xavier in any order. They do not need to be sent at the same time. We will collect your materials as they arrive.

  • Current resume or CV uploaded to your online application
  • Official GMAT scores, sent directly from the testing service *
  • ALL undergraduate and graduate transcripts, sent directly from the University **

The mailing address for application documents is:

ATTN: Admission Processing Center
Xavier University
3800 Victory Parkway
Cincinnati, OH 45207-5131

* When you take the GMAT you will receive unofficial scores immediately. You may submit those scores to the MBA office for initial review. This will save the 2 weeks it normally takes for official scores to arrive. Official scores must still be submitted.

** Transcripts must be official, as well as final. A final transcript is one on which the degree has been confirmed and noted. If you are requesting your transcript before you have officially graduated, please ask that your transcript be held until the degree has been noted.

Step 5

Once all materials have been received, your application will be considered for admission.  An admission decision letter will be posted via your application status page.  Please login and review this page often as any updates to your application will be posted here.  If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of submitting your final item, please feel free to contact us.

Requirements

The GMAT is our preferred exam. For an applicant with an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, the minimum acceptable score is 470 total with a quantitative score in the 25th percentile or higher and an analytical writing score of at least 3. For an undergraduate GPA below 3.0, we use the following calculation: required total GMAT score = 1070 – (GPA x 200). To learn more about the GMAT, please visit their website (www.mba.com). We offer GMAT review sessions at least twice per semester. For more information, please visit the Events section of our website.

We will accept the GRE if you have already taken it or plan to take it for admission into another program. The required GRE score is based on our GMAT requirements, using the conversion chart provided by ETS, the owners of the GRE.

Deadlines

Once the MBA office receives all materials, you will be considered for admission into the program. Admission is rolling, allowing students to begin their MBA studies at many times throughout the academic year. While there is no formal application deadline, the following dates are recommended to insure timely processing of your application materials and course registration:

  • Fall - Aug. 1
  • Spring - Dec. 1
  • Summer - April 1
