CMA Review to be offered at Xavier beginning August 2013

The Xavier Leadership Center (XLC) will begin offering the CMA review program in August!

The Wiley CMA Exam review (formerly the IMA Learning System that has been around for several years) is a recently released Wiley product and it is being offered at many universities and the most common delivery method is thru extension or outreach or executive training programs (such as our XLC). Some impressive schools on the list are: Auburn, University of Georgia, Duke, Villanova, UCF, Erasmus, etc. Here is a link to CMA offerings at other schools in comparison:

Such a program is well-suited for anyone who wants to pursue certification, find out more information about the CMA early in their career, and IMA members from the area who are pursuing the CMA.

Xavier has identified Ben Mulling, CMA and CFO of Tente Casters as someone who is very interested in teaching opportunities as they become available. He is CMA, CPA, and MBA who is also on the IMA global board, based in northern Kentucky. He also has considerable adjunct teaching experience with various colleges in the area.

If you are interested in this managerial accounting program please let the MBA office, Accounting Chair, or any of your professors know. Many CPAs who work in public also take the exam as they know it helps them have a strategic lens upon which to advise their clients in all of their accounting functions. Cincinnati has many CMAs who work in the Big 4 as well as small and mid-sized CPA firms.

For further information about an upcoming information session, please contact Sandy Richtermeyer.
