Currently in the Business Intelligence concentration? Interested in BI careers, but not sure where to put your skills to work? Come join us as we tap into the minds of a variety of Business Intelligence professionals. Our panel members will describe the type of work they do in their organizations and give answers to any questions you raise.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about potential career paths available in the BI world and network with professionals. The panel discussion will take place from 5 - 6 pm and have additional time available for those wishing to network. | MBA Summer Internships |
MBA students who do not work full-time may participate in an internship and elect to earn three academic credits. The MBA Internship course will count as a three credit hour elective course applicable for the General Business concentration only. Students must meet all eligibility requirements as listed on http://www.xavier.edu/williams/internships/MBA-Program.cfm.
If students wish to pursue credit for summer semester, the deadline to complete the required internship agreement form is May 25, 2012. The paperwork and instructions are available here.

| Call for applications for Entrepreneurship Black Belt Certification |
Entrepreneurship is a creative business process that results in value creation; and. Black Belt is a term from Total Quality Management literature that signifies proven expertise in a given area of business (e.g., efficient manufacturing processes or effective innovation projects). The Entrepreneurship Black Belt Certification focuses on the level of expertise attained in the entrepreneurial process as a sustainable value creation process.

| Xavier University Offers Summer Housing for Interns |
Each summer, hundreds of students who have summer internships in the Cincinnati area call Xavier University home. If your organization sponsors summer interns who will need a great place to stay for the summer, consider this:
Xavier offers a variety of housing options at a variety of price points. Intern housing is available May 13th to August 4th in fully furnished, air conditioned and modern apartments that include free Wi-Fi, cable television and parking. Also, interns have the opportunity to meet and network with hundreds of other interns from schools around the country.
We can arrange housing directly with your organization’s intern coordinator, or you can opt to have your interns register and pay for housing themselves.

| Seven Xavier University Graduate Programs Ranked Among the Best Rankings by U.S. News Media Group |
Seven Xavier University graduate programs are among the best according to the 2013 edition of Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News Media Group. Highlights of the rankings will be published in the Best Graduate Schools 2013 edition book, available April 3, 2012.
The graduate programs noted by the report are:
· Executive MBA ranked 23.
· International MBA ranked 22.
· Part-time MBA ranked 87.
· Health Services Administration ranked number 32. This same program is currently ranked number one in the country for the second time in three years by Modern Healthcare.
· Occupational Therapy ranked 83.
· Master of Science in Nursing ranked 99.
· Clinical Psychology ranked 145. This is Xavier’s only doctorate program.
The 2013 Best Graduate Schools includes essential, detailed statistical information on more than 1,200 programs nationwide.

Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability

This unique elective focusing on triple-bottom-line sustainability is an excellent complement to any schedule. Likely topics for the course:
-How did we get here?
-What is our current situation?
-What lies ahead?
-Designing a new sustainability initiative
-Making the "business case" for sustainability
-Energy
-Greening the supply chain & operations
-Responding to stakeholder interests
-Products & services for emerging markets
-Leadership & employee engagement
-Focus on the food Industry
-Regulatory trends and global practices
-Project presentations and discussions
Dr. Luce is open to suggestions from students planning to take the course on additional (or other) topics to include. This is a discussion-based course with heavy emphasis on exchanging informed points of view on the topics we cover (participation is graded). There is a "real life" individual project individually, written case analyses, team-based debates on controversial topics and guest speaker experts. (No exams).

| Network of Executive Women Scholarship |
The Network of Executive Women (NEW) invites all full-time female graduate students or undergraduate students (junior year or higher) who are U.S. Citizens and enrolled in a retail, food or consumer packaged goods related program at a U.S. college or university to apply. You must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Click here for further details.

| Jesuit MBA Day of Service – Ronald McDonald House Donations |
As part of an MBA initiative to give back to our community and the National Jesuit MBA Day of Service, the William's College of Business is partnering with the Ronald McDonald House to donate to their wish list.
Donation boxes will be placed on each floor of Smith Hall including the MBA Office in room 120B. The MBA Office is happy to accept cash donations to be used towards the purchase of additional requested items.
