| "Life as a Lawyer" Panel hosted by XU Pre-Law Society - March 22nd |
Xavier's Pre-Law Society will proudly be hosting a panel discussion, "Life as a Lawyer" on Thursday, March 22 from 4-5:30 PM in Room 308 - Smith Hall.
The event will include a panel discussion with three practicing attorneys, to hear about the everyday lives of lawyers and the paths taken to get where they are.
Food and drinks will be provided.

| Seven Xavier University Graduate Programs Ranked Among the Best Rankings by U.S. News Media Group |
Seven Xavier University graduate programs are among the best according to the 2013 edition of Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News Media Group. Highlights of the rankings will be published in the Best Graduate Schools 2013 edition book, available April 3, 2012.
The graduate programs noted by the report are:
· Executive MBA ranked 23.
· International MBA ranked 22.
· Part-time MBA ranked 87.
· Health Services Administration ranked number 32. This same program is currently ranked number one in the country for the second time in three years by Modern Healthcare.
· Occupational Therapy ranked 83.
· Master of Science in Nursing ranked 99.
· Clinical Psychology ranked 145. This is Xavier’s only doctorate program.
The 2013 Best Graduate Schools includes essential, detailed statistical information on more than 1,200 programs nationwide.

Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability

This unique elective focusing on triple-bottom-line sustainability is an excellent complement to any schedule. Likely topics for the course:
-How did we get here?
-What is our current situation?
-What lies ahead?
-Designing a new sustainability initiative
-Making the "business case" for sustainability
-Energy
-Greening the supply chain & operations
-Responding to stakeholder interests
-Products & services for emerging markets
-Leadership & employee engagement
-Focus on the food Industry
-Regulatory trends and global practices
-Project presentations and discussions
Dr. Luce is open to suggestions from students planning to take the course on additional (or other) topics to include. This is a discussion-based course with heavy emphasis on exchanging informed points of view on the topics we cover (participation is graded). There is a "real life" individual project individually, written case analyses, team-based debates on controversial topics and guest speaker experts. (No exams).

TEDx is a speakers event featuring "ideas worth spreading". The event will serve as a platform to spark deep discussion and connect alumni, students, and community members for a memorable night of ideas and inspiration. Attached is your invitation and RSVP link.
TEDxXavierUniversity is a licensed TEDx event that will be held at Cintas Center's Schiff Banquet Hall on April 26 2012, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. The theme of our TEDx event is "Touching the hearts and minds of others through innovation, service, and leadership." We've invited 9 regional and national leaders in innovation including CEO's, directors of non-profits, and cutting edge entrepreneurs. We anticipate a cross section of community attendees as well as Xavier faculty and students. |

| Xavier wins 2012 ACG Cincinnati Cup |
On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, teams representing Northern Kentucky University Haile/US Bank College Business, Miami University Richard T. Farmer School of Business, University of Cincinnati College of Business, and Xavier University Williams College of Business competed in the final round of the 5th Annual ACG Cincinnati Cup competition. The Xavier University team, consisting of (pictured left to right): Michael Deye, Manoj Srivastav, Hamir Mahajan and Mark Momper, emerged victorious.

Attention all Xavier MBA students, alumni, and friends! The Xavier Women’s MBA Association is presenting “The Non-Profit Experience” on Thursday, March 29th. Learn how to leverage your MBA to help a non-profit organization while building your resume and gaining valuable experience. Hear from local non-profit leaders and discover the value of a volunteer experience:

Jugaad - a colloquial Hindi word - means a creative idea that quickly leads to significant and measurable benefits. In the Jugaad competition that the Williams College of Business will hold, the following procedure will be followed.
Xavier/WCB Jugaad Competition: $10 (Ten Dollars) is given to each team. The time to work out a Jugaad (a creative idea that quickly leads to significant and measurable benefits) is four weeks. | Cintas traffic, parking |
The University is hosting the OHSAA regional boys basketball tournament at Cintas Center tonight, Friday, March 16. Visiting fans will be directed to outlying lots but delays are expected. Faculty, staff and students coming to campus during the evening should plan to arrive early and via alternate routes to avoid the expected traffic congestion.

Public Allies Cincinnati, a program of BRIDGES for a Just Community, in conjunction with the Strive Partnership, presents Your'sTruly, Cincinnati: a Conversation Series. | Jesuit MBA Day of Service – Ronald McDonald House Donations |
As part of an MBA initiative to give back to our community and the National Jesuit MBA Day of Service, the William's College of Business is partnering with the Ronald McDonald House to donate to their wish list.
Donation boxes will be placed on each floor of Smith Hall including the MBA Office in room 120B. The MBA Office is happy to accept cash donations to be used towards the purchase of additional requested items.
