| MBA Student Meet Up at RP's |
You are cordially invited to an MBA student meet up at RP McMurphy's Pub in Oakley. It'll be a good opportunity to meet other students outside of the classroom. RP's will even be offering $5 domestic pitchers, $6 import pitchers and will have plenty of Yuengling on hand. Students are responsible for purchasing their own drinks.

| 2012-2013 GA Applications – Due March 1st |
Full Time students may apply for Graduate assistantships within the Williams College of Business. The graduate assistant can be awarded up to 24 credit hours of tuition and an hourly wage. Download the MBA Graduate Assistantship application. Graduate assistantships outside the Williams College of Business are also available. | Want to get hired by a global firm? Here’s your chance! Bloomberg Assessment Test |
The Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT) will be offered in the Fifth Third Trading Center on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 12:00 noon-4:00pm and Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 8:00am-12:00 noon.
The BAT was developed in collaboration with finance professionals, recruiters and academics for potential employees to uncover knowledge and skills relevant for a finance career. The test covers subject material from the areas economics, math, analytical reasoning, corporate valuation, financial markets, financial statement analysis, situational judgment, etc. There is no preparation for the test and it is anonymous. It is open to all students; no knowledge of Bloomberg is required and is free of charge.
Global employers use the Bloomberg TALENT SEARCH function to find potential employees with the skills in the areas they deem important for long-term successful employees. This opportunity is not just for people doing a finance concentration. These companies hire accountants, managers, economists and IS specialists as well.

| Introduction to Bloomberg |
This workshop will teach users how to navigate and use the system, discover Bloomberg’s powerful functions, and set up your own Bloomberg username. Participants will learn to construct portfolios, do equity screening and explore basic portfolio analysis functions. Seating is limited. We must have 5 participants minimum to conduct the workshop. | Capital IQ Now Available in Trading Room |
Capital IQ, the easy-to-use financial data retrieval system from Standard and Poor’s, is now available for student use on the workstations in the Fifth Third Trading Room (SMH 106) and in SMH101. Standard & Poor's Capital IQ provides web-based information services that combine information on companies worldwide along with a variety of software applications that allow financial professionals to analyze company fundamentals, build financial models, screen for investment ideas, and execute other financial research tasks. Components of Capital IQ’s offering include data on public companies, private companies, company financials, M&A/financing transactions, public offerings, corporate executives’ and board directors’ compensation, news, filings, screening tools, chart builder, real-time market data and news, relationship tree, macroeconomic data, industry analyses, and investment research.
To log in to CapIQ, click on the CapIQ icon on the desktop of the workstation, enter the number of the machine (e.g. SMITH106-05, but it is not case-sensitive), and enter the password “4xavier” without the quotes. If you check “Remember me” on the login screen, login will be automatic the next time you log on to that particular workstation.
