Internship Program

Internships provide a forum for the integration of classroom theory and business reality through career-related work experiences.  There are two types of internships: those associated with an academic department in the WCB (For-Credit) or done independently (Not-for-Credit). Regardless of credit status, the majority of internships are paid. 

The WCB Internship Program is novel in that:

1. an internship experience can begin at any time during Xavier’s three semesters,
2. positions can be part time or full time,
3. positions are competitively filled through student applications and employer reviews, and
4. any position can continue beyond the internship period, if desired by both the student and the employer.

Internship opportunities are available in all of the WCB’s majors.
