Before co-founding Global Lead, Janet B. Reid held a series of progressively more responsible positions during her 10 years at Procter & Gamble—from research chemist to brand manager. She taught chemistry at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA, and earned a Ph.D. in BioInorganic Chemistry from Howard University.
Reid has worked with Global Lead across the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia--with expertise in developing effective leadership strategies for American companies doing business in China. She is also an expert in shaping corporate strategy and developing quantitative and qualitative measures of bottom line benefits.
As a member of numerous professional associations, Reid’s extensive board service includes being the first woman and first person of color to be Chair of the Board of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and was the first board chairperson for the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. She is a trustee of Xavier University in Cincinnati and member of their Executive Committee, Academic Affairs Committee and Chair of the Diversity Committee.

The Williams College of Business at Xavier University presents the Distinguished Speakers Series, an annual series of presentations by prominent leaders designed to educate, enlighten and inspire.
The series brings top-level business, academic and political leaders to campus to discuss world issues, introduce new ideas, generate discussion and further the educational mission of the college. Additionally, students, faculty, alumni and members of the business community have the opportunity to interact with the speaker at each event.
