Internships provide a forum for the integration of classroom theory
and business reality through work experiences coordinated with a student’s
declared major. These practical experiences are a part of WCB’s internship program where students earn both money and academic credit towards their
degree.
The WCB program is novel in that 1) an internship experience can begin at any time
during Xavier’s three semesters, 2) positions can be part time or full
time, 3) positions are competitively filled through student applications and
employer reviews, and 4) any position can continue beyond the internship period,
if desired by both the student and the employer.
Internship opportunities are available in all of the WCB’s
majors.
