Transfer Scholarships & Financial Aid

Transfer Scholarship Criteria

The Transfer Scholarship ranges from $8,000 - $9,500* per year or $4000 - $4,750* per semester for up to six semesters of undergraduate studies. For the Transfer Scholarship you must:

1. Be admitted to Xavier University as a full time degree seeking student, for the fall or spring semester. (This scholarship does not apply to summer enrollment.)
2. Transfer a minimum of 24 semester hours of credit to Xavier with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better. If fewer than 24 semester hours have been completed your high school record will be required, including a final transcript and ACT/SAT scores.
3. Have attended another college/university within the last two years as a full-time, degree seeking student.
4. Complete and return the scholarship form to:

5. Submit the form (PDF format) by the March 15th priority deadline if you have completed fewer than 26 semester hours.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

The Phi Theta Scholarship is worth $12,000 per year for up to 18 hours per semester. It is restricted to tuition only for fall and spring semesters. For the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship you must:

1. Be admitted to Xavier University from a two-year institution.
2. Be a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society.
3. Submit a transcript with the Phi Theta Kappa seal. (The transcript should acknowledge the total number of hours completed to date so that we can determine if the applicant will be classified as a junior at the time of enrollment.) Priority is given to students with an associate degree.
4. Have achieved a cumulative GPA 3.25 or better at each college or university previously attended.
5. Complete and return the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship application (PDF format), no later than June 15th of each year. Recipients of the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship must be full-time students. If you need the required software for downloading PDF files visit Adobe's site for the download.

Scholarships are renewable for up to four consecutive semesters provided you remain full-time with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
