Miguel Pro Scholarships
Admission Application Option: Early Action
Scholarship application deadline: December 1, 2007
The Miguel Pro scholarship is named in honor of Miguel Pro, S.J., a Mexican priest who was martyred by the Mexican government in 1927 for his practice and teaching of the Catholic faith. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding Hispanic/Latino first-year students and ranges up to full-tuition.
The Miguel Pro Scholarships support Xavier’s mission of promoting and celebrating a diverse campus community. Accordingly, Pro scholars participate in activities throughout the year that promote the benefits of a diverse campus community.
Typical recipients rank in the top 25 percent of their high school class and have a minimum SAT of 1070 (ACT of 23). Selected students will be interviewed on campus on February 23, 2008.
Francis X. Weninger Scholarships

Scholarship application deadline: December 1, 2007
A four-year scholarship that ranges up to full tuition, named in honor of Francis Xavier Weninger, S.J., founder of St. Ann Parish in 1865. St. Ann’s was the first Catholic Church and school with a ministry committed to Cincinnati’s black community. The scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding African-American first-year students.
The Francis X. Weninger Scholarships support Xavier’s mission of promoting and celebrating a diverse campus community. Accordingly, Weninger scholars participate in activities throughout the year that promote the benefits of a diverse campus community.
