IT announces planned system maintenance August 3-4
What we're doing
Information Technologies will be performing required maintenance on Xavier’s IT infrastructure this weekend to replace equipment and strengthen network stability. The standard weekly IT maintenance window is Saturday from 9:00 p.m. until Sunday at 3:00 a.m. but because the maintenance will take a considerable portion of that window and will require downtime for a number of systems, we are communicating these details:
What will be affected
The following systems will be unavailable from 11:00 p.m. August 3rd until 3:00 a.m. August 4th. Normally scheduled backups of data will be run before the maintenance begins. Please note that the replacement of equipment requires that these systems are shut down as a precaution; we are not modifying them in any way. Faculty: We recommend that submission deadlines for any assignments due on August 3 be modified to not later than 10 p.m.
