Discount for O'Connor Sports
The Department of Recreational Sports invites faculty and staff to join O'Connor Sports Center at a 50 percent discount for first-time members or previous members more than two years ago. Please note that the discount applies to faculty/staff single and family memberships and is good only for the first year. The discount cannot be extended to current members or those who have been members within the past two years. The deal is good through Jan. 8. For more information, contact Leslie Dulle 3209.
Controller office reorganization
The offices of the Bursar and Controller are reorganizing. Those employees changing jobs and their respective new position titles are:

Ryan's Pub open during break
Ryan’s Eatery and Pub in the Gallagher Student Center is open for lunch during winter break. Holiday lunch hours are 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Dec. 20-23 and Jan. 3-7. Ryan's also is the official home of the Chris Mack Radio Show and will be open before men’s basketball home games Dec. 18: 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.; Dec. 28: 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 31: 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Crosstown Shootout viewings
Faculty, staff and students are invited to join alumni in more than 30 chapters nationwide for Crosstown Shootout viewing parties on Thursday, Jan. 6. Network, win prizes and root the Musketeers to victory against the University of Cincinnati. Xavier's Facebook page will have contests and giveaways posted the day of the game.
Market research survey
Faculty and staff are invited to participate in a market research survey designed to explore your views of the University. The survey, from the Office of University Communications, should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Participants are eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy or iTunes.
Final grading open
Final grading is open for fall semester classes. Grades should be submitted before Thursday, Dec. 23, to allow time for the deans to determine academic standing. Submitted grades are typically posted to academic records by 9:00 a.m. each business day. Faculty may submit grades via the "Enter Final Grades" link under the Faculty Resources tab on the MyXU portal. For more information, contact the Office of the Registrar at 3941.
Today holiday schedule
Today at Xavier is not being published during the holiday break. The last edition of the year is today, Monday, Dec. 20. A weekly edition is being published Tuesday, Jan. 4. Daily publication resumes Monday, Jan. 10.

Xavier is switching to a new service provider for its MyXU Alert Me system effective Jan. 1. Employees will be directed to a new sign-up page via the portal beginning Jan. 4 to verify contact information. Read more about it.
