United Way appeal
Friday, Oct. 9, marks the final day for Xavier's annual United Way appeal. Father Michael J. Graham encourages all employees to prayerfully consider making a donation as part of this annual initiative in hopes of a 100-percent participation rate. One final email from the United Way will be sent to employees on Friday.
Three global leaders in interreligious thought and action are presenting on “The Power of Interfaith Collaboration: Responsibility and Hope For a World In Conflict” on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 6:00 p.m., in the Cintas Center. Featured panel guests include Yonathon Arfi, Francis X. Clooney, S.J., and Seyyed Hossein Nasr, PhD. The presentation, part of Xavier’s commemoration of Nostra Aetate, is free and open to the public.
Value of leadership
The MBA program and NEW Cincinnati host a conversation about leadership by Four Star U.S. Army General James T. Hill and U.S. Army Brigadier General Becky Halstead on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. in the Schiff Family Conference Center at the Cintas Center. Antonio Johnson nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Antonio Johnson Scholarship Award. Any member of the Xavier community may nominate a student for this prestigious scholarship that will be awarded at the 40th Annual Antonio Johnson Scholarship Gala on Friday, April 8. This award is presented to an African-American and/or African junior who displays academic excellence and a level of involvement that makes a significant contribution to the black community at Xavier and beyond.
