CINCO award

The CINCO Family Financial Center Credit Union and Xavier are teaming together to present the Innovative Educator of the Year award for faculty. A $2000 award will be distributed to one winner and two finalists at the Xavier-Alabama men's basketball game on Saturday, Dec. 6. Nominations are being accepted through Wednesday, Oct. 1. Loyola lunch seminars

Faculty and staff are invited to the weekly Loyola Lunch Seminar every Thursday from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Fenwick Conference Room. Feel free to bring your lunch. This week, on Thursday, Sept. 18, meet the staff of the Center for Mission and Identity as they present on “Mission Integration.” For more information, view the semester schedule.

Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum

The Student Nurse Organization hosts "Debunking the Myths about Dietary Supplements" presented by MBA alumna Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum for interested faculty and students. The presentation is on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in Hailstones Room 19. Pizza is being provided, and raffle prizes are being awarded.

Flu shots for employees

Xavier is offering flu shots to employees and their dependents on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Joseph Room in Cintas and on Monday, Nov. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the XFit Benefit Fair. Flu shots are free to all employees and dependents. More information will be forthcoming about how to schedule an appointment.

Van training

Van driver safety training is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 3:00 p.m. in Flynn Hall and consists of classroom instruction followed by on-road driving. Training takes one and a half hours to complete. There is no charge. To register, please email riskmanagement@xavier.edu. For more information, visit the Risk Management website.

Crash the Party

Faculty and staff are invited to "Crash the Party" during Reunion Weekend on Friday, Nov. 7, in the Duff Banquet Room in the Cintas Center. Show off your brain power playing against alumni, faculty, staff and students during a live Trivia Contest hosted by Xavier grad and Questionable Pursuits owner Mark Arminio.
