Manresa volunteers needed
The Office of Student Involvement is looking for volunteers for Manresa 2014, which is being held the week of Aug. 18. Volunteer jobs include:
- Packet-stuffing, Thursday, Aug. 7. Email email@example.com with your time preference of a two-hour shift (10:00 a.m. to noon, noon to 2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.).
- Move Crew for Smooth Transitions, Monday, Aug. 18, early move-in, Wednesday, Aug. 20, and new-student move-in, Thursday, Aug. 21. Sign up at the Move Crew page.
- Check-in assistants and greeters, Thursday, Aug. 21. Register at the check-in page.

Director of University Library
The Xavier community is invited to attend an open forum for candidates being interviewed for the position of director of the University Library. The candidates are presenting on their vision for “The Library of 2020.” A question-and-answer session follows the presentations, which take place in McDonald Library, Room 130, from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. The candidates and dates are:
Executive assistant to Provost
Claudia Fladung, administrative assistant in Information Technologies, becomes the executive assistant to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer effective July 28.

Adjunct parking permits
Adjunct faculty parking permits for the 2014-2015 academic year are now available. Go to the campus parking page link and sign into the site using your Xavier username and password. The old permits expire on Aug. 15. Adjunct faculty must have their new contracts fully processed by their academic departments and Human Resources before applying for the parking permit. Full-time faculty and staff currently holding the FS16 permit do not need to acquire a new permit. Current permits are valid until August 2016.
