The Office of University Communications and Division of Information Technologies are pleased to launch the Employee Hub today, Thursday, March 6. The Employee Hub, along with the Student Hub, will permanently replace the MyXU Portal this summer. Learn more about these changes.
TIAA-CREF and Liberty Mutual
Xavier partners TIAA-CREF and Liberty Mutual invite faculty and staff to schedule confidential one-on-one sessions to re-evaluate long-term soundness of savings goals and insurance protection. AVP for HR open forums
Finalists for the position of Associate Vice President for Human Resources are on campus during the next two weeks. All employees are invited to the following open forums:

- Monday, March 17: Ron Lawrence
- Tuesday, March 18: Kay Bolden
All forums are from 1:45 p.m.-2:45 p.m in the Conaton Board Room in Schmidt Hall, except for Lawrence's forum, which takes place in the Mission and Identity conference room in Fenwick Place. Résumés are available on the HR website. Please respect the confidentiality of the finalists.
Religious accommodation policy
In keeping with Xavier's commitment to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, the University adopted a new religious accommodation policy campuswide effective immediately. Examples of accommodations include providing unpaid leave for religious observances, a time and/or place to pray and the flexibility to wear religious attire. The attached document offers details about the policy.
Ryan's Pub reopening
Ryan's Pub is now open. The newly renovated space includes a menu picked by students and tables designed by different sports clubs. A video of the grand opening is on Xavier Dining's YouTube channel.
Midterm grading for undergraduate full-term classes is open. Please use the "Enter Midterm Grades" menu option on the faculty services channel located on the faculty resources tab of the MyXU portal. Midterm grades are available to students immediately upon submission. Academic advising begins Monday, March 10. Faculty are asked to enter midterm grades before then to support the advising process. Contact the Office of the Registrar at 3941 for more information.
First Big East championship
The men's swimming team delivered the University its first Big East championship. This marks the first time in which either the men's or women's swimming teams won a conference title. Brent MacDonald was named coach of the year, and senior Chad Thompson was most outstanding swimmer. To read more, check out the GoXavier.com story.
Death in the Xavier community
William Russell, father of Sharon Merrill, Center for Catholic Education and the Department of Secondary and Special Education, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the age of 89. Services are today, Thursday, March 6, at Good Shepherd Church on East Kemper Road, starting at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon.
