Generally, the student must major in a specific field in the College of Arts & Sciences and then fulfill the specific licensure courses in secondary education. The major field of study often requires specific courses and the student must review course planning in his or her major to be assured that the state requirements in the field are being fulfilled. Majors in specific teaching fields should consult the University catalog for requirements in the major.
