Parent and Family Orientation Program

Welcome to Xavier University! We are so excited you and your student are joining our community. Manresa Orientation Program is designed to help guide you through the college transition which is filled with change, excitement, learning and growth. Whether this is your first experience or a familiar one, Manresa's purpose is to make the transition into Xavier as fun, informative, and worry free as possible.

During Manresa, students will have the opportunity to meet classmates, get acquainted with campus, and prepare for their academic and social growth at Xavier. The Friday of Manresa largely focuses on the resident student move in process and the hand-off from parents and family members to Xavier. Parents and family members are invited to a number of events on this first day of the program. Featured activities include Gallagher Student Center Open Houses with offices such as Multicultural Affairs, Career Services, and Student Support Services; an information fair, and a parent association reception. The events are informational in nature and will therefore answer many of the questions you may have. Additionally, there will be a resource area at check-in and the “Parent Pit-Stop” where current Xavier parents will answer questions and socialize over a provided snack.

The parent and family schedule can be accessed by clicking on the right-hand navigation bar. A schedule for your new student can be found under “First-Time Freshmen” tab. Please do not hesitate to call the Manresa hotline at 513-745-3662 with any questions you or your student may have.
