Advanced Leadership Institute

The Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI) is a cohort-based leadership program for upperclass students.  This group of 20-25 juniors and seniors participates in a six-part series of leadership discussions facilitated by campus professionals.  Each session provides an opportunity for participants to explore leadership topics essential to professional success.  The sessions involve collaborative discussion, peer-to-peer learning, reflection, and action planning.

 

Advanced Leadership Institute Outcomes

  • Students will engage in shared learning as both learners and teachers
  • Students will participate in open and collaborative discussion about leadership
  • Students will develop leadership skills and abilities applicable in collegiate and professional settings
  • Students will foster a postive attitude of and appreciation for the unique nature of self
  • Students will learn from and with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences

 

Application Information

The Advanced Leadership Institute is designed for Xavier juniors and seniors.  Participants must be able to attend all six sessions and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.  The program is ideal for students with an interest in furthering your understanding of leadership and sharing your experiences with your peers.  You may currently hold a campus leadership position or be looking for a new leadership role in the future.  Interested students should complete the Advanced Leadership Institute Application.

Application materials are due by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
