Advanced Leadership Institute

The Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI) is a cohort-based leadership program for upperclass students. This group of 20-25 sophomores, juniors and seniors participates in a six-part series of leadership discussions facilitated by campus professionals. Each session provides an opportunity for participants to explore leadership topics essential to professional success. The sessions involve collaborative discussion, peer-to-peer learning, reflection, and action planning.

Advanced Leadership Institute Outcomes

  • Students will engage in shared learning as both learners and teachers

  • Students will develop leadership skills and abilities applicable in collegiate and professional settings

Application Information

The Advanced Leadership Institute is designed for full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Participants must be able to attend all six sessions and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5. This program is ideal for students with an interest in going beyond the typical leadership development program and sharing their experiences with peers in a comfortable yet mature environment. ALI is open to individuals who currently hold a campus leadership position or who might be looking for a new leadership role. Applications are due to the Office of Student Involvement by 5pm on October 31, 2011.
