Senior Week Planning Committee


The Senior Week Planning Committee is a Student Working Group under the Office of Student Involvement that exists to celebrate the Xavier senior experience by providing community engagement and celebration programs for graduating seniors.

Senior Week

May 8 - 13, 2017

The Senior Week program offers the Xavier graduating class a unique experience by providing a week-long series of events from the close of Final Exams leading up to Commencement.  Seniors are able to purchase Senior Week packages to participate in all of the events and activities throughout the week.  Packages are available now!

PACKAGE SALES HAVE NOW CLOSED

 

Early Bird Packages Feb 1 - Feb 28 (5pm) $125 per package
Full Price Packages Feb 28 (5pm) - Mar 31 $155 per package

All Senior Week Package sales end at 5pm (EDT) on March 31, 2017 in order to provide enough time to coordinate logistics and finalize counts and ticketing for all of the events. 

*Package sales for Senior Week 2017 will begin on February 1, 2017.*

Physical packages (including a final schedule of events as well as ticketing for activities) will be available for pick-up during the last week of classes (week of April 24, 2017).  At the time of picking up their package, Seniors will need to finalize any additional ticket purchases and also select options related to some of the events (ie. time of brunch).

Senior Ball tickets are sold separately and are not included in Senior Week Packages but may also be purchased online or in person at package pick-up.  Seniors may purchase up to two (2) Ball tickets.  
Price = $25.00 each

Senior Family Brunch tickets are not included in Senior Week Packages. Senior Family Brunch tickets may be purchased online or in person at package pick-up.  Seniors may purchase an unlimited number of Senior Family Brunch tickets.  Price = $13.25 each

Your package includes:
  • Senior Week Wristband, giving you access to the following events:
    - Kings Island
    - Scene75
    - Reds Game
    - Jack Casino
    - Brunch Cruise
    - Senior Week Bingo
  • Transportation to off-campus events

These events are subject to change based on venue availability and the discretion of the Senior Board and Office of Student Involvement.  Please note - tickets to Senior Ball and the Senior Family Brunch are sold separately and are not included in the Senior Week Package.

You may not bring alcohol or other substances to any of the Senior Week activities.  Bags are subject to search upon departure for all of the events.

 

2017 Senior Week Schedule

Sunday, May 7

12pm-6:30pm - Trip to Kings Island amusement park*
Buses will load starting at 12pm (to accommodate for Seniors participating in the Flying Pig Marathon).  Buses will re-load at Kings Island at 6pm to return to campus.  Please note - Senior Week participants cannot drive yourselves to Kings Island.  If you are not available by the time the last buses leave campus, you will forego your ticket to Kings Island.

Monday, May 8

There will be no scheduled Senior Week events on Monday due to the fact that Kings Island is not open during the week yet and we will therefore have our first event beginning on Sunday.

Tuesday, May 9

12:30pm-3:30pm - Senior Fun Day at Scene75 Entertainment Center
They're opening the venue just for XU Seniors, featuring a pizza and salad buffet, hundreds of Arcade games and unlimited play with their attractions (including: 3D blacklight minigolf, 2-story laser tag arena, indoor go karts, bumper cars, mini bowling alley, big screen XBox and PlayStation gaming, and more).  Buses will load in Buenger Circle at 11:30am, departing at noon.  We will return to campus by 4pm.

6pm-12am - XU Senior Night at the Cincinnati Reds (v. NY Yankees)*
Buses will load in Buenger Circle at 6pm for a 7:10 game. Immediately after the game, buses will be available to take students back to campus.  Additional buses will loop between XU and downtown (2nd and Walnut in front of the Freedom Center) until midnight.  Seniors are welcome to explore The Banks or hop on the Cincinnati Bell Connector (streetcar) and check out Downtown Cincinnati or Over-The-Rhine following the game.  

Wednesday, May 10

1pm-4pm - Trip to JACK Casino*
Buses load at 1pm for JACK.  The casino not only offers gambling but also some great restaurant options and easy access to explore Over-The-Rhine during the day.  Come with us to try a little blackjack or roulette, spin a few slot machines and grab lunch at Bobby Flay's Burger Palace, Market District Buffet or Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.  Buses will reload at 4pm to head back to campus for students to get ready for Senior Ball.

9pm-12am - Senior Ball at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals.*  **
Seniors and guests will board buses in Buenger Circle starting at 8:30pm.  Buses will begin running back to campus starting around 11:30pm.  Note: Senior Ball attendees will have the opportunity to get a picture with Who Dey, the official mascot of the Bengals.

Thursday, May 11

12pm-2pm - Brunch Cruise with BB Riverboats on the Ohio River*
Buses load in Buenger Circle starting at 11:15am.  The Belle of Cincinnati will sail at noon and dock at 2pm.  While on the cruise, students will have a full brunch buffet and can take photos with friends using the amazing Cincinnati skyline and backgrounds on the boat during the daytime.

4pm-6pm - Senior Bingo in the Hoff Dining Commons
Don't miss the best game of bingo featuring $1,500 in awesome prizes!  Doors open at 4pm and all participants MUST have their Senior Week wristband to play and win prizes.

Friday, May 12

12pm-2pm - Senior Family Brunch in the Hoff Dining Commons**
Enjoy brunch with your family!

5pm - Baccalaureate Mass in the Cintas Center

Saturday, May 13
9am - Commencement Ceremonies in the Cintas Center

*Transportation will be provided.  You must use Xavier-provided busing to the event.
**Tickets to this event are sold separately from the Senior Week package.
