What is Sport Administration?

The Master of Education in sport administration will prepare you for a career within the expanding sport industry. The program combines the academic strength of a Xavier education with the opportunities of the Cincinnati sport industry. You will study areas such as sport management, sport marketing, sport finance, personnel and legal issues and NCAA rules and regulations. The program will develop your leadership skills and prepare you for success in one of today's fastest growing industries.

You will study with full-time faculty who have doctoral degrees in sport administration as well as plenty of practical experience in the field. Adjunct professors are carefully chosen for their expertise and current involvement in specific areas of the field. You and your colleagues in the classroom will learn from each other by sharing professional experiences and insights. Many students in the program are currently working in the field of sport, and many others are preparing to move into the industry.
