In this Ignatian year, we also celebrate the renaming of Justice Hall. We hope that this year's celebration will reflect where we have been and send us forward in hope to where we are called next as a community. Our commitment to each other can be strengthened in this season: All for One and One for All.

The Mass of the Holy Spirit will begin at 11:30 am, and around 12:15 pm, we will process outside to Justice Hall, under the Student Commitment. There, we will reflect on this moment in our history together.

We will livestream the mass (details below) so you may join the procession if you are watching around campus. The process and outdoor blessing are rain or shine, so come equipped with a rain jacket or umbrella if the forecast calls for it (we will reschedule in the event of a true storm).

Mass of the Holy Spirit

Join us back here at 11:30 am for a Mass to bless the academic year, call us to action, and pray together. This mass includes ecumenical and interfaith presence from our campus religious leaders. This year, Rev. Abby King-Kaiser of the Center for Faith & Justice and Dr. Norm Townsel, the interim Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, will each give a short reflection. Fr. Ed Schmidt, SJ will preside and our President, Dr. Colleen Hanycz, will welcome us to mass and speak to us about Justice Hall.

If you are watching on campus and would like to partake in the Eucharist, Eucharistic Ministers will be outside that chapel for a few minutes after the livestream, likely starting around 12:15 or 12:30 pm.

We hope it will be easy for you to join from wherever you are, including accessing the program on your phone, laptop, other device. It won't be the same as holding a paper program, but we hope if you scroll along on your phone, it will give you a similar feel. The program will become available here the week of the event.
