The Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculator

If you would like to improve your GPA, and want to know exactly what you have to do to reach your goal, the GPA calculator can help! Simply enter your current cumulative GPA, along with the amount of credit hours you have earned (not counting transfer credits or other credit-hours that are not factored into your GPA), then enter your desired GPA goal and press the "Calculate Needed Credits and GPAs" button at the bottom. The calculator will generate a list of all possible credit hour and GPA average combinations that will raise your GPA to your goal.

Example:

My current GPA is 2.5, and I have earned 30 credit hours so far. I want to raise my GPA to 3.0.

The calculator generates the following output:

15 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 4.
17 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.9.
19 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.8.
22 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.7.
25 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.6.
30 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.5.
38 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.4.
50 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.3.
75 additional credit-hours with an average GPA of 3.2.

Take for example the first line, that means that if I take 15 additional credit hours, and my average GPA between those 15 credit-hours is 4.0, then it will raise my overall GPA to my goal of 3.0.

Use the calculator to get an idea of the possibilities and help plan your strategy to reach your goal!
