Summer Housing

NOTE:  Due to the high demand for four-bedroom apartments in the Village, singles in Manor House and singles in the University Apartments, we are no longer taking requests for this type of housing. Please request another housing option.

  • Is Housing Available in the summer?
    • Summer Housing is available May 10th - August 8th for current Xavier residents and available May 17th –August 8th for all others.
    • We provide housing for summer school, summer interns, summer residents and summer conferences groups.
    • There are a limited number of spaces available in the Village.
    • Student with fall housing assignment can continue housing till the beginning of the fall semester August 23rd.
  • Do I have to be taking classes to stay in Housing?
    • No, however, students who are enrolled in intersession can stay in their spring housing space till May 23rd. The deadline to stay in your Spring assignment is April 24th. If you plan to stay longer than intersession you should plan to move to your summer assignment on May 10th.
  • What buildings are available?
    • Brockman Hall is being used for short term and long term housing (minimum 1 week stay).
    • The Village, Manor House and the University Apartments are available for long term housing (10 weeks or more).
    • Buenger Hall will operate as an intern only building (8 week minimum stay).
    • Husman and Kuhlman Hall will serve as summer conference buildings.
    • Please contact the Office of Residence Life at 513-745-3203 to schedule a conference group.
    • The Commons Apartments are closed for renovations beginning May 17th- August 15th.
  • How do I register?
    • Stop by the Office of Residence Life located 3735 Ledgewood Drive for a form or print off a copy from our website.
    • If you are an Xavier student fill out the Summer Registration Form with payment or payment information.
    • If you are an intern, fill out the Summer Intern Housing Form (please indicate who you have your internship with) then return it with $100.00 non-refundable deposit (the 100.00 deposit goes toward the 1st rent payment).
    • Please make sure to mark your 1st, 2nd and 3rd housing choice. These will be used to assign you a space.
    • If your 1st choice is not available we will try to place you in your 2nd or 3rd choice.
    • Requested roommates should plan to arrive in the same week.
    • Applications are due at least 10 days in advance of move in.
  • How much will it cost?
    • Brockman- $75.00 double occupancy room; $100.00 double as a single – per week (Sunday, check-in – Saturday checkout). There are a limited number of single occupancy rooms available.
    • Buenger Hall (Intern Only Housing) - $115.00 per week single bedroom in suite (Sunday check-in - Saturday checkout)
    • Manor House (Efficiency units) - $480 per month per person for a single; $360.00 per person for double occupancy.
    • University Apartments (1 bedroom units) - $630 per month per person (single); $450.00 per month per person (double occupancy).
    • Village (2 bedroom units) - $680.00 per month per person – single bedroom occupancy; $420.00 for double bedroom occupancy. There is a limited number of single bedrooms in a 2 bedroom apartment.
    • Village (4 bedroom units) - $500.00 per month per person.
    • We prorate on long term housing.
  • How do I pay?
    • We accept money orders, Visa, Mastercard and Discover and personal checks (if you are a Xavier student).
    • Interns must make three payments for summer housing: deposit (reserves your space), 1st payment upon arrival (May/June rent) and 2nd payment (July/August).
  • How do I check in?
    • You will receive a confirmation with information about your reserved housing space, where to check-in and what times check-in is open.
    • The office desks are not open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
    • Please try to arrive within the designated time slot.
    • General Brockman and Village Apartment Desk Hours are: Monday through Friday 4:00pm – 8pm Saturday and Sunday noon – 4pm (There extended office hours on the weekends in May)
  • Summer Conference Housing Rates
    • Adult Room Rate: $24.00 per night per person – single occupancy; $20.00 per night per person – double occupancy.
    • Youth Group Rate: $16.00 per night per person
    • Linen : $12.00 per package ( two sheets, two towels, two washcloths, one pillow, one pillowcase and one blanket)
    • Xavier University sponsored groups receive a discount.
