The second semester elementary course which is a continuation of JAPN 101.
Emphasizes listening and situational conversation.

with a particular emphasis on the development of more creative use of the
language and culture.

A communicative-oriented course integrating the skills of reading, writing,
listening, and speaking situational, functional Japanese through the study of
authentic materials. The course includes a comprehensive grammar review.

ADVANCED JAPANESE I

An upper-division course that is a continuation of JAPN 202. Its goal is to
develop the basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing and
cultural understanding along with an intensive study of grammar.

JAPN 202

ADVANCED JAPANESE II
(3.00)
A language development course which emphasizes listening, speaking, reading,
writing and cultural aspects with development of advanced structures.
Prerequisite:
JAPN 202 and permission of instructor
