Fall 2012 Important Dates and Deadlines

Mar 26-30 Fall 2012 Priority Registration for all currently enrolled students
Apr 2 Open registration begins for Fall 2012 at 8:00am
Aug 10 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 1 - Last day to register for Fall Term 1
Aug 12 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 1 - Preassignment Date
Aug 18 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 1 - First Saturday Class
Aug 20 FALL FULL-TERM CLASSES BEGIN AT 4:00pm, except labs.
Formal registration, all divisions, undergraduate advisors available 9:00am -4:00pm.
First session MBA classes begin.
Aug 20-26 Late registrations, Course drop/add period
Aug 24 Last day to change from credit to audit or vice versa
Aug 26

Last day for late registrations and adding classes.
Last day to drop Fall full-term classes and receive 100% refund.
Last day to drop/add MBA first session classes and receive 100% refund.
Aug 27 - Nov 19 All undergraduate and CAPS students must have advisor's signature to withdraw from courses.  Instructor signatures are also required for Military Science, Montessori and Physics course withdrawals.
Sep 3 Labor Day, University closed, no classes
Sep 27 Midterm grading opens
Sep 28 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 1 - Last day to withdraw from Fall Term 1 classes
Oct 1 Final grading open for first session classes.
Last day for MBA students to withdraw from first session MBA courses.
Oct 5

Deadline for students to file degree application for December graduation.

Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 2 - Last day to register for Fall Term 2
Oct 6 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 1 - Last Saturday Class
Oct 7 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 2 - Preassignment Date
Oct 11-12 Fall Holiday, day classes do not meet; evening classes 4:00pm and after meet, excluding labs, offices open.
Oct 13 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 2 - First Saturday Class
Oct 15 Deadline for faculty submission of midterm grades.
End of first MBA session.
Oct 15 Second MBA session begins
Oct 21 Last day to drop/add second MBA session courses and receive 100% refund.
Nov 5-9 Spring 2013 Priority Registration for all currently enrolled students
Nov 19 Final date for undergraduate students to withdraw from Fall full-term courses
Nov 21-25

Thanksgiving Holiday begins. No classes Wednesday, Nov 21 through Sunday Nov 25.
Campus offices close at 3:00pm on Wednesday, Nov 21 and reopen on Monday, Nov 26. 
Nov 25 Last day for MBA students to withdraw from second session MBA courses.
Nov 30

Final grading open for Fall 2012

Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 2 - Last day to withdraw from Fall Term 2 classes
Dec 6 End of second MBA session
Dec 7

Last day of classes.
Final date for graduate students to withdraw from Fall full-term courses. 
Dec 8-14 Fall Semester final examinations
Dec 8 Weekend Degree Program: Fall Term 2 - Last Saturday Class
Dec 10 Study Day-No exams scheduled before 4:00pm
Dec 14 End of Fall Semester (official Graduation Date)
Dec 18 Deadline for Fall 2012 final grade submission by 12:00pm
