Women's Lacrosse

The current Xavier University Women’s Lacrosse Club was started in the Spring of 2005 by two freshmen girls who had the desire to play lacrosse in college.  The makeup of their leadership is representative of the team even today—one was a 4 year varsity lacrosse player while the other had but only 1 season of experience.  Today The Club fields a team of 16 dedicated young ladies and every year the team adds new players due to its growing popularity on campus.  In the Spring of 2007 the XUWLC’s schedule of games included Midwest teams from the tri-state area such as Butler University (Indianapolis), University of Kentucky (Lexington), Miami University (Oxford), University of Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Women’s Post Collegiate Team.  The XUWLC will begin their first inaugural year in the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse League in the fall of 2007.  A full schedule of games can be anticipated for the Spring of 2008.
