Ding! Ding! The XU Boxing Club is designed to teach interested students the fundamentals of the sport of boxing. Any male or female student can participate in the club as an active, competing member or as an enthusiast wanting a unique workout. No experience is necessary!
Mission and Goals
- The mission upheld by our officers is to provide a fun and efficient physical exercise club and a positive training environgment for all our members who wish to learn and develop skills in the sport of boxing.
- Our goals are to improve physical fitness;
- To provide boxing training for aspiring contenders;
- To encourage teamwork, cooperation and a family environment; and
- To create greater awarness of the club to the rest of the Xavier community.
What you will get out of joining:
- A great workout and learn how to box
- Build friendships with others
- Receive training from a real local Boxing Coach
- Become a competitor for our school!
What you need for practices:
- Mouthpiece (necessary for competitors)
- Hand wraps (very important!)
- Jump rope (recommended)
Membership Fee: Only $30.00 for first semester and $20 for every semester after that!
Regular Practice Meetings:
- M - 5:30-6:30p
- T - 5:30-6:30p
- W - 3:30-4:30p
- R - 3:30-4:30p
- SA - 12:00-1:00p
- (highly recommended that you attend at least 2 practices per week)
