Ohio Reading Endorsement K-12

Professionals holding a valid Ohio teaching certificate or licensure of any type who wish to complete course requirements for certification as a reading teacher K-12, which is an endorsement to the teaching certificate or licensure, must complete the following coursework or have completed it in previous undergraduate or graduate study:

The master's degree is not a prerequisite for the reading endorsement.

Those desiring a reading endorsement from the State of Ohio must also successfully complete the Praxis Exam #0204, "Teaching Reading" which replaces Praxis Exam #0200, "Introduction to Reading" beginning September 1, 2010.  Additional information regarding the Praxis Exam may be found at the following links:
