Purchase Order – Default method for acquiring all goods and services. A purchase order should always be used except for the exceptions described in P-card and Direct Pay below.
P-Card – P-cards can be used for items under $750 and items related to travel or when a purchase order is not practical; for example, seminars, conference fees, or certification fees.
Direct Pay – used when a purchase order or P-card is not practical; examples include athletic officials, external security fees, legal fees, dues and memberships.
