Dissertation

The dissertation requirement is designed to be a scholarly project based upon current theories and methodologies in applied psychology. It allows the student to further develop skills in statistics, research design, and use of computers in statistical computations. It is designed to enhance organized, critical thinking skills which are essential to students' understanding of human behavior and to their work with clients in a clinical capacity. Options for the dissertation include but are not limited to: original research investigations, program evaluation projects, development and empirical evaluation of a new assessment or intervention technique.
