Mike Rutherford on The Art of Teaching

Xavier University’s 2011 Ann Buenger Speaker Series will feature Mike Rutherford on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Cintas Center. Hors d’oeuvres begin at 4:00 p.m. Rutherford’s 4:30 p.m. address will be followed by a reception at 5:30 p.m. The program is sponsored by Xavier University’s Center for Catholic Education (XUCCE). Mike Rutherford has been at the forefront of educator development across the United States for more than 20 years, using workshops, institutes, television, and online technology. Formerly a high school chemistry teacher, coach, and middle school principal, he received a BA in Education from Indiana State University and an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina. He is a PhD candidate in Leadership and Human Development at the University of Wyoming.

Rutherford will present a leadership workshop on Friday, Nov. 11 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Cintas Center for all principals in the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese Principals’ meeting will immediately follow his workshop.
