Xavier Part-Time MBA Program Ranked One of America's Best for Third Year

Only program in Cincinnati USA ranked in the top 16

For the third year in a row, Xavier University’s Williams College of Business (WCB) Part-Time MBA program is ranked one of the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.  The rankings released today list Xavier’s program as 16^th and the only part-time MBA recognized in Ohio or in the surrounding states of Indiana and Kentucky.

 

The University is ranked 16^th along with Arizona State, Loyola University Chicago, Marquette, St. Louis University and University of Maryland-College Park. Last year’s Xavier’s program was ranked 26^th.

 

The ranking is part of U.S. News’ America’s Best Graduate Schools 2009. The annual survey is available on newsstands April 1.  This is the third year the rankings have included part-time MBA programs.

Xavier is in good company on this prestigious list.  At the top of the list is New York University followed by the University of Chicago. Also included on the list is Northwestern, UCLA, University of California at Berkeley and the University of Michigan.  

 

The WCB part-time MBA program is in its 42^st year and is offered in weekend, executive and off site programs. The program is the largest part-time accredited program in Ohio. Students in the core evening program can expect to complete their studies in about three years. The evening program allows for flexible course schedules which many working professionals find convenient. Students in the weekend, executive and off-site programs usually complete their degree in two years.

 

Each year, U.S. News ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law, and medicine. These rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program quality and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research, and students. These data come from surveys of more than 1,200 programs and some 14,000 academics and professionals that were conducted in fall 2007.
