Last Two Events in Sacred Spaces Series

Artistic expressions of faith in Judaism, Christianity and Islam

Sacred Spaces explores Jewish, Christian and Islamic places of worship through films, commentary and discussion, followed by visits to some of the community’s most powerful and beautiful sacred spaces. Admission cost to each event is $16 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. For members of the Cincinnati Art Museum, Taft Museum of Art, Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati and the Skirball Museum, the cost is $8. Call 513-721-ARTS to register, which is required.

 

 March 26 at the Taft Museum of Art, 316 Pike Street, The Church: House of Worship

Katie Johnson, assistant curator for adult learning at the Cincinnati Art Museum, will facilitate the event.  View the film Building Faith, Sacred Architecture: German Lutheran Churches with commentary and discussion, followed by a tour of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, 1140 Madison Avenue in Covington.

April 2 at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, 8092 Plantation Drive in West Chester, Mosque: The Focal Point of a Muslim Community

Danya Karram of the Islamic Center will facilitate the event.  View the film Building Faith, Sacred Architecture: Islamic Mosques with commentary and discussion, followed by a tour of the mosque.
